• Born in Hong Kong, Joseph Yu (余文藻) came to the US after graduating from high school.
• He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley and graduate study at Carnegie Mellon University.
• After 40+ years of employment at Raytheon Company, where he performed advanced radar development work, he retired from the company in 2015 with the title of Principal Engineering Fellow.
